For those of you of another generation, today’s post moniker isn’t just a statement for today, but the title from a song by the Young Rascals circa 1968 – ok I think no one in my Pastry Class was born in 1968, or 1978, or maybe even 1988 for that matter. OMG what does that say? (I was already in the 8th grade) – but alas, too bad, they missed so much great music!!!!!!!! I digress. Anyway, the lyrics begin – “It’s a beautiful morning, I think I’ll go outside for awhile, and just smile, just take in some clean fresh air, boy, ain’t no sense in stayin inside, if the weather’s fine and you’ve got the time…. I think that just about says it all today. Perhaps someone else will remember……..
Wow, getting up on a day like today gives me just such a different feeling. It’s crisp and clear, and the day feels full of promise and inspiration. Sadly, I will have little opportunity to cook and no opportunity to bake today but hopefully lots of opportunity to explore. I hope to retrace my steps on my stroll into Georgetown’s secret gardens and do a few fun things there. Looking forward to trying some new dining venues. Will report back.
Here are some shots from the yard this morning
Have a beautiful day!!!!!!! Ok, so May has redeemed itself – this is what I look for in May days! Let’s hope June will be full of days like today…….. Off to Washington in one hour. Bye Bye……..
