My favorite night shot at the Spanish Steps I feel compelled to wind up my stories and pictures of Rome and move on to the rest of my Italian holiday in Positano and Sicily. There is so much left in the picture inventory and it is worth cataloging, I think. Based on the postive feelings I have gotten from my trips to London, Paris and Italy over the past few months, I guess I am realizing I am much more of a “roamer” than I ever thought I was. I don’t roam around at home that much – I don’t know why except to say that I don’t find my normal environs that inspiring. I know that is not the best thing to say but it is true. I love old things and old places and I guess going to these few places in Europe does indeed ignite my interest. The attachment to a few Facebook pages and all the books and other media venues I explore, many from the UK, Paris and Italy certainly helps keep me motivated. And so, onward. Walking in Rome was indeed a happy endeavor, no matter how many times I stubbed my shoes and turned my ankles on the cobbled streets! We walked from morning till night every day and I enjoyed every moment! While I have a huge compendium of pictures, I have tried to whittle them down to just enough to share here without getting too lengthy.
