I’ve always liked the word “toggle”. I’ve had a few toggle coats in my time. Funny though, how it’s become so much more popular as a verb now-a-days……….. We toggle back and forth a lot, don’t we?
Merriam -Webster defines toggle, the verb as follows: to toggle: to switch between two options by pressing a single key – that seems very limited to me………
Funny how I don’t really think of myself as a gardener. I think of a gardener as someone who spends hours on end toiling in the soil – mostly weeding and grooming – like all those famous English gardeners (and Carolyne Roehm), the ones always with those big straw hats on, do. I hate the weeding and the grooming tasks and so I go to all ends to try to minimize the need for this. I am more of the source, plant and inhale type of gardener. I am always craving color and so I enjoy this part of gardening – the maximizing of pleasing color “photos” – both literal and those which just set in my mind. I get a lift each time I walk out the door or peer out the window and see.
This Summer I’m enjoying the benefits of toggling between two Summer Gardens – it’s a bonus for me, as I get to enjoy each one at the peak of each and every phase. Today I also toggled cameras – I felt my iPhone wasn’t capturing the colors as I wanted them. So, today’s pics are courtesy my Canon:
The morning is cool and serene here – a real beauty! It’s really wonderful to have these few minutes early in the morning to enjoy what’s out of doors before my day gets going.
I have to say, I have been enjoying some very spectacular recipe perusings around the fruit offerings right now – especially this one from Jean-François Piege:

But, I’ve as yet to tackle any of them myself. Must get busy – but have to say, haven’t found any great peaches yet! They’re all hard as rocks………… But, very soon, I’m sure, I’ll be toggling between Peaches, Plums, and Nectarines and interweaving them with summer’s best berries!
Enjoy this lovely early Summer Day!
