I learned about Marché Bio Boulevard Raspail from Ina Garten. She has spoken about it often on her show. I have enjoyed visiting here twice now and, as I strolled along, I looked around to try to imagine where her apartment might be. I also tried to imagine being so lucky as to live here and do this several days per week.
For me, a Farmer’s Market is like an art exhibit. Might I just say, maybe even better? I can’t pass one by, without becoming enraptured – at the colors, the forms and the meaning. Here is the handiwork of many farmers, in combination with the soil, the elements, and God. The resulting bounty, much which was months in the making, and the people who offer it on so many occasions, never fails to amaze and reward me.
Here is my collection of photos, ones I can not pass by without capturing and celebrating. Each and every one is a small treasure to me. No one is ever redundant, is it, as they couldn’t possibly be. As in nature, everything changes from moment to moment:
A bientôt, Boulevard Raspail. I will be back soon!
